DAY 3 : Feel it

DAY 3

 FEEL IT

Stop avoiding your emotions: start taking the time to understand and work through how you truly feel.

Hiding emotions is something quite common. From the fear to be hurt or sounding weak, different reasons push people to not show emotions. But this lack of communication might have or already had some repercussions on your relationships and mental health. I like to call emotions keeper sponge: it's okay for a while but the more you're keeping things for yourself heavier you feel. In the end, nothing can't be handled and every emotion restrained is letting out more intense. This will way more damage you, and people close to you than saying it right when something goes"wrong" or you're feeling "not fine".

So, you need to listen to your emotions. To let them burn inside you, to let them go. That’s the tricky part. Because accepting sadness or anger without drowning in it can be tough. Easy to say, hard to convert into actions. There are some easy steps you can do :

If something went not as expected: ask you every single time "What am I learning"?

If something is messing with your head: try to write it down to understand more clearly what could be hidden behind your "I'm fine".

What can I do?

Write a letter to your future self or journal about what’s on your mind!  Here are some journal prompts if you don’t know where to begin: you can download this template for free.

Time for your daily bits of advice to take things further on your emotional journey :
